Top Ten Tuesday: Crazy Things I’ve Done for the Love of Books

Formerly hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

This week’s topic is…Outrageous/Crazy/Uncharacteristic Things I’ve Done for the Love of Books

  1. Spent over $100.00 on a special edition.
  2. Patiently waited hours outside a bookstore for the midnight release.
  3. Traded multiple “rare” ARCs for one ARC that I just had to have for my collection.
  4. Drove over 8-10 hours, on multiple occasions, to author/books events.
  5. Started collecting multiple editions of the same book.
  6. Stayed up past 3:00 a.m. on a school night/work night just to finish reading a book. (This still happens, lol).
  7. I will drive around to multiple local bookstores in the tri-state area looking for a new release until I finally find it.
  8. Spent hours standing and walking around at a book event, carrying around two totes of books, while having extreme lower back pain.
  9. Rereading a book two times in one month.
  10. Created both a book blog and a Bookstagram account to RAVE about books, and I still have no idea what I am doing…hahahaha.

What are some crazy or outrageous things you have done
for the love of book?

  1. I sort of never realized that people collected ARCs, but that’s kind of cool. Driving that far is some real dedication! I start whining if I have to drive two hours for something lol. I’m there with you on the blog thing lol. I still don’t know what I’m doing. I just sort of open my word-hole and bookish stuff tends to fall out. xD

    Here’s my TTT post.
