Wuthering Heights is on my TBR! I agree I didn’t like ACOTAR all that much either.
They’re both books I don’t get the hype about, but I’m glad I read them. I think they’re really good books to discuss in a “book club” setting.
My list would probably have had more classics on if I hadn’t just DNFed them haha.

LOL, I love classics but I noticed that some just rub me the wrong way, hahahaha.
Even though it’s been so long since I’ve read Wuthering Heights, I still consider it a favourite. I don’t remember much of Sense & Sensibility. I found it too similar to Pride & Prejudice tbh.
I’m just not a big fan of WH compared to the other Bronte sisters. And Pride & Prejudice is the only Austen book I didn’t want to throw across the room, LOL.
Oh, no! I wanted to read Things Fall Apart and Vanity Fair this year! However, I loved Sense and Sensibility and Wuthering Height, so maybe I’m good?
I think these are books that everyone should read, even though I didn’t enjoy them. Some of them rubbed me the wrong way, some of them made me want to throw the book across the room, and some of them made me shout “WTF,” LOL, but they are still books that open your eyes and make you think.
Great list. I am getting a kick about everyone having ACOTAR on their list!! I enjoy the series but I’m not obsessed like most people. I love her other series much more.
I still need to read her other series. Even though I own all the books (so far), I’m not going to read them until the whole series is completed.
Good plan! I can’t wait for the last book this fall!!
Totally agree about ACOTAR!
That’s what a lot of people are saying, lol. I thought I was the odd duck when it came to that book/series, hahahaha.
I wasn’t that keen on ACOTAR, but I did like the second book more.

I’ve read both and they just didn’t work for me. 😦
Fair enough!
Oh GOD. The Red Badge of Courage. The BANE of my required reading in high school. Could. Not. Stand. It. I feel the same about ACOTAR too. I didn’t like it, but I’m glad I read it because it lead to ACOMAF, which I ADORE.
HAHAHA, it was on my required reading list too. I remember thinking that reading it was so much torture, lol.
Absolute torture. Especially since my old, crusty, dude teacher was like, “Ugh, so complex. Look how tortured he is. So admirable. So relatable,” the whole time. And I’m just like……….no.
I have actually only read Wuthering Heights. It’s been a long time, lol.
