  1. I am not really a holiday type reader, though I can’t seem to get enough of Christmas books this year. I did read 3 darker books this month – Bad Girls with Perfect Faces, Book of Lies, Haunting the Deep. So, I feel as though I did some October type reading.

  2. Hi Cassie, what a great simple Halloween read list! I don’t tend to change what I read depending on what time of year it is though I’ve seen that a lot this year… Stalking Jack the Ripper sounds like a good mystery… I’ve read a couple reviews and it seems like a perfect Halloween pick! I wouldn’t even have related Harry Potter, but a great choice too!

I love top 10 Tuesday… Here is my post if you’re interested in my choices ❤ https://wp.me/p3LRfZ-6Vt

  3. Hello, Rants and Raves!

I love and adore the covers of Blood and Salt, Stalking Jack the Ripper (is it good? I’ve had it on my Goodreads TBR list since it first was announced…), and The Fall (it reminds me so much of the original covers for Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children). There is just something about them that draws me. On the other hand, I say the covers that creep me the most would be Shutter and I am Legend.

    Have a fantastic evening,
