I haven’t read any of these but everyone has been recommending A court of thorns and roses to me lately – haven’t ever read any Sarah J Maas!
Thanks for sharing this post
I love seeing what other people are reading & their opinions on books!
Do you use the GoodReads app?

Hey, thanks for stopping by. I know a lot of people that love SJM books. I personally cannot connect with them. Also, I do use Goodreads. You can find my link at the right of the page 🙂
Hi! What was it about Lola? The cover for Ava Lavender is great. I would add to my TBR just for that 🙂 But now I’m cautious!

Lola rubbed me the wrong way; she was so spoiled and I could not connect to her. I really thought Cricket could do better. And in regards to Ava, the story is beautifully written but the ending infuriated me. I felt like I was let down as a reader.
I can see that about Lola 🙂 And I hate bad endings! I threw a book across the room once because the ending made me so mad lol
Hahaha, that’s what I wanted to do with Ava.
I didn’t like the star-touched queen, Red Queen, or We Were Liars either. 😦 I’m currently reading Lola and the Boy next door. What didn’t you like about it?
I loved Anna, it’s actually my favorite book to reread. But Lola, as a character, infuriated me. I could not connect to her, and I just thought Cricket deserved someone better. Maybe I was in a weird funk when I read it, LOL.
Yes to so many of these! Star-Touched Queen, ACOTAR, Red Queen, and My Lady Jane made my list as well. I feel like a total black sheep on these books. I’m glad to know I’m not. Great list!
Thank you. And I always feel bad being the black sheep with beloved books. It’s good to know there are others out there like me, LOL.
Other than Lola (which I loved) I haven’t read any of these. I do have Court of Thorn and Roses on my list, but I didn’t much like Throne of Glass so I haven’t rushed to read it.
I own all of the Throne of Glass books (well the ones that are out), but I haven’t read them yet. I’m giving myself time and space before I jump into them, lol.
I hope you like them a lot more than me. I gave up after book 2.
A Court of Thorns and Roses was on my list this week too (as like less).

It’s good to know I’m not the only black sheep to not really like it 🙂
Nope you aren’t!
geh. The Star Touched Queen. I just cannot take that book seriously. I understand it tried, and I appreciate the Indian culture but GEH.
I know. I wanted to love it so much, but it didn’t happen 😦
Ooohh Lola let me down as well! I was so charmed by Anna and the French Kiss and couldn’t wait to read its sequel but Lola was just… different. On the contrary I enjoyed Red Queen, but everything kinda went downhill in Glass Sword so I stopped reading that series altogether 😂
I have read a few of these – Red Queen, ACOTAR & We Were Liars. I absolutely loved We Were Liars, that was one of my favourite books in the year it came out. ACOTAR was okay, but I had a few problems with it – the sequel was like a million times better, thank god. I absolutely hated Red Queen, haha, it just bored me to tears! Feel free to check out my list here.
